SOME LINES ABOUT MICHAEL MICHALSKY


Michael Michalsky is a very famous fashion designer from Berlin. He designs for both ladies and men's fashion, shoes and accessories. He was born in Gottingen in 1967. The decision to become a fashion designer, Michael Michalsky grabbed at the age of 12 years, after him a story about the great Karl Lagerfeld had intrigued. He studied at the prestigious London College of Fashion. His professional career began as a design manager at Levi's in Germany. In 1995 he became head designer at Adidas and was from 2000, as global creative director responsible for the design of Adidas products.

Michalsky 2006 left the company and founded in Berlin his own premium label Michalsky and Jean line "M67 Michalsky Jeans Berlin." In 2007 he presented his first collection. Since then, his large fashion show is an integral part of the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in Berlin, and also the Michal sky’s after-show parties are legendary.

The line “Michalsky Eyewea r ", he designed in 2008 in cooperation with NiGuRa Metzler from Dusseldorf. And since 2005, he supported the luxury brand MCM bag as Creative Director.

Today Michael Michalsky is a much respected designer who lives in the fashion capital of Berlin. He works with and for large companies such as Wella, Sony and DHL, and cooperates with many international artists. Besides working for his label, he is regularly hired by companies outside of the area with fashion design work. One reason why Michalsky 2009, the design agency "Michalsky designLab" founded. In the same year he became the vogue as a "new German fashion guru" titled. He also received the 2003 Award GW Germany in category "National Designer of the Year" 2004 Award "Sports Style Designer of the Year" and in 2005 he was awarded the Red Dot Design Award for "Design Team of the Year" with Adidas.

Typical of the designer is the sporty, elegant fashion that is always portable. Michalsky combines classic styles with streetwear influences.
